What is counselling?

Counselling is a method of helping people through conversation. For that reason, it is sometimes referred to as “talk therapy.”

Life can be a rich and rewarding experience. Having said that, most human beings at one stage or other face difficulties on the road of life; times when we feel stressed, sad, lonely, scared, depressed, anxious or confused. Feeling down doesn’t necessarily mean we are ill. Being upset or “stressed out” may be a perfectly normal response to the challenges we are facing in our lives, whether that be at school, at home, in our personal relationships, or in the workplace.

Whatever the problem might be, sometimes it helps to have someone to talk to.
